Situation
The University of Toronto Run Club was looking for ways to significantly increase its digital visibility and engagement within the broader U of T community. I identified the U of T Sport & Rec marketing channels as a prime, high-reach opportunity to gain digital exposure for our club.
Task
My primary objective was to pitch, negotiate, and execute a strategic digital content collaboration with the U of T Sport & Rec Marketing Team. This involved creating a compelling pitch deck, developing concrete, mutually beneficial content ideas, and overseeing the successful creation and launch of the joint promotional materials.
Approach
Strategic Pitch Development
I created a pitch deck that clearly articulated the value proposition for both UTRC and Sport & Rec. The pitch highlighted how the collaboration would boost UTRC's club reach while providing Sport & Rec with engaging, community-focused content to promote active living.
Content Planning & Execution
I was responsible for brainstorming and developing specific, actionable content ideas tailored for the Sport & Rec digital platforms. These ideas were designed to be informative and engaging, directly addressing the Sport & Rec marketing team's needs. Upon approval of the pitch, I worked closely with the Sport & Rec team to coordinate the creation of three distinct pieces of collaborative content. I ensured UTRC's brand and message were clearly and positively represented in the final deliverables, aligning with the agreed-upon themes and schedules.
